My First Furniture Project!!

This was my first attempt at refinishing a piece of furniture, so I started with a magazine rack, in case I messed it up.LOL!! I made my own chalk paint with a recipe I found on Pinterest http://www.lizmarieblog.com/2011/10/homemade-chalk-paint/ I used Valspar Satinado as my base color.I did a little sanding once my paint tried for that little distressed look.I then wiped a small amount of Minwax Walnut Stain on with a soft cloth and wiped it of immediatly to give it that antiqued look that I hoped for,and as the finishing touch I used Minwax furniture wax to seal my creation.What do you think??
